SOULjourner, as January draws to a close, let's take a moment to reflect on the ways we've shared our hearts, time, and gifts with others—and ourselves.

Grab your favorite journal + a warm drink, and join me in exploring the beautiful moments of generosity that have shaped our first month of 2025.

Week One: Fresh Beginnings (January 1-7)

Take a moment to remember how you stepped into the new year. What intentions did you set around giving?

  • Who did you celebrate with as the clock struck midnight? How did you make that moment special for others?

  • What small acts of kindness did you offer during those first tender days of January?

  • How did you nurture yourself during the transition into the new year?

Week Two: Finding Your Rhythm (January 8-14)

As routines settled back in, generosity often shows up in subtle ways..

  • When did you lend an ear to someone who needed to talk?

  • What moments called for your presence rather than presents?

  • How did you share your expertise or skills with others?

  • What gift of "yes" or "no" did you give yourself, prioritizing your soul care?

Week Three: Weathering Winter Together (January 15-21)

Mid-January can be challenging for many. Reflect on how you've helped brighten these darker days...

  • Who needed extra support this week? How did you show up for them?

  • What unexpected moments of giving brought you joy?

  • How did you share warmth—literally or figuratively—with others?

  • In what ways did you practice self-compassion during challenging moments?

Week Four: Growing in Generosity (January 22-31)

As we close out the month, let's celebrate all forms of giving...

  • What's one new way you expressed generosity this month?

  • How did you repurpose or share something old in a meaningful way?

  • Which acts of giving stretched you outside your comfort zone?

  • What have you learned about yourself through giving?

Deeper Reflections

Take some time to ponder these questions in your journal:

1. The Gift of Presence: Describe a moment when simply being there meant everything. How did it feel to give your full attention?

2. Unexpected Joy: What surprise act of generosity—given or received—touched your heart most deeply?

3. Creative Giving: How did you think outside the box with your generosity? Did you share a skill, create something handmade, or give in an unconventional way?

4. Soul Care as Service: How has taking care of yourself this month enabled you to be more present + generous with others?

5. Ripple Effects: Have you noticed any unexpected positive outcomes from your acts of giving?

6. Giving Patterns: What patterns do you notice in your giving?

Remember, generosity isn't measured in grand gestures or monetary value. Sometimes the smallest acts—a genuine smile, a thoughtful text, or a moment of patience—create the most meaningful impact.

As you journal about your month of giving, celebrate all the ways you've contributed to shalom-making in the world—inwardly + outwardly.
