Today, we reflect on the wilderness as a place where our desires are like portals, opening pathways to deeper truths about ourselves + God’s heart.
Just as Yeshua/Jesus faced temptations in His 40 days in the desert, our wilderness experiences reveal the longings that shape or misshapen us.
In the untamed + sacred space of the wilderness, we find refuge in His compassionate presence and trust in the supernatural of generous provision.
A Prayer - Desire in The Wilderness
This Lenten season...
Beloved Yeshua, as You guide us through the wilderness, help us discern and denounce the dangers that seek to distract or dismay us.
Transform our layered longings, aligning them with Your will and word, so our caravan of desires may be redirected toward the sanctuary of Your abundant love.
As we nestle up closer to Your goodness, may our desires become portals through which the alchemy of Your love transforms them into spiritual food, nourishing us even as we face temptations that prey upon our fears of scarcity.
In this wilderness, may we find refuge in Your compassionate presence, witnessing how You reveal the root system of every desire. Here in the wild place, we proclaim Your generous provision.
