Counting the Omer: Pause to Bless the Everyday, Small Harvest

Links are provided at the end to reduce distractions.
We are in a stream of biblical festivals that will help us to remember the magnitude of God's steadfast faithfulness and generosity.
A Stream of Biblical Festivals
Passover has found its fulfillment in the death of the Messiah; and in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we look back at the sinlessness of Jesus' (Yeshua's) blood sacrifice. Following close behind, is the Feast of Firstfruits—we celebrate the resurrection of Yeshua according to I Corinthians 15:20-23.
And now we are counting the daily Omer (Hebrew for a sheaf, like barley or wheat). God instructed Israel to count the Omer as they brought in the sheaves of their early barley harvest for 49 days. On Pentecost, the 50th day, they celebrated God's provision of the full harvest. And hundreds of years later, on this day, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the believers in Acts 2 (a fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:33).
There's more to understand about the counting of the Omer here.
An Invitation to You
For 49 days, I invite you to count the Omer, the sheaves of your inmost being. This poem was inspired by my new meditation series, "Everyday, Small Harvest." Join me in Scribble + Sense, a journaling meditation series. We will caravan together and count the Omer to Shavuot/Pentecost until May 31st.
